The gravelly voice of Richard Ferrone is a great choice for a story of unstoppable suspense and action where the stakes are extremely high and cannot be ignored. A master computer wizard by the name of Bobby has just been murdered. A legend in the computer-hacking community, his death will create major repercussions.

His killer has taken his über souped-up laptop away and everyone is worried about what he may plan to do. This machine is filled with enough material to fill the library of Alexandria with top-secret documents from the governments of the world, and just one leak can destroy a country's infrastructure.

Aside from that it also contains identifying information of Bobby's friends in the hacking community. They do not wish to be exposed and will do anything to keep it that way, including Kidd, in the fourth book of John Sandford's series. If the killer is not stopped immediately and the laptop destroyed, it will result in utter devastation for everyone.

Kidd does not really give a damn about which arrogant politician might get hurt, but he knows what is at stake. Someone murdered a good friend of his and now it is time for some payback. In the hands of John Sandford you are guaranteed to have a good time.

The novel moves like gangbusters. So much so, that even if you are a Luddite, the plot's technospeak is not at all confusing toward the readers. The book is filled with colorful characters that will keep your earphones glued to your ears, laughing and crying with some of the situations in the book. Kidd's cat burglar girlfriend, LuEllen is a riot with her semi-paranoid view of the world and some situations that will leave you with mirth. And guess what, she is right.

Most of the politicians displayed in the book are devious manipulators who will stop at nothing to cover their rear ends. It has been a while since this reviewer has had fun listening to an audio book and this one tops the bill. You will definitely enjoy hearing it up to its exploding climax. Ferrone might not have one of the softest voices for audio, but he gets the job done. He has my vote for any upcoming works. Let us begin creating a buzz. You will not be disappointed.
