n Daniel Easterman's newest novel, the new President of the United States is about to visit England. Upon his arrival, the President is kidnapped, at a huge cost in human life. It's down to a select group of people to track him down, despite the power of the forces arrsnged against them.

Whilst Easterman has written a novel that can easily keep the reader's attention, using the latest technology, a great deal of it does seem somewhat implausible. Of course, one would say, fiction is fiction and unbelievable things will happen, but to me, the idea of the President being kidnapped and then taken around the world in such a way simply did not ring true.

The author includes various plot twists and the pace is kept up throughout the novel. Overall, it is an adventure story and an interesting one, but there are certainly better, more plausible thrillers out there. Whilst Easterman creates a different President through Waterstone, a Jew, thus allowing some more plot tangents, the reader will still be left feeling as though the book could be just that bit better.
