Erin and Shauna are celebrating with friends at the Down and Dirty Club with a pre-wedding party. When Erin sneaks away to put together a surprise for Shauna, she is viciously murdered. Detectives Dallas and Peabody are soon on site investigating the death.
After a careful review of interviews, photos, and videos collected from patrons and other guests present during the evening at Down and Dirty, Eve determines the killer must be someone who knew the couple, and who was possibly even close to the two women. Dallas and her team begin breaking down the relationships between all the couple's friends, looking for clues for motive and opportunity.
While the owners of Down and Dirty are fully cooperating, Eve Dallas is reminded of the time she defended herself from an assault in the very same room where Erin was murdered. Determined to find the killer, Dallas works with Dr. Mira to develop a suspect profile and to review her observations as she works through the information her team gathers. Three key suspects emerge that keep Dallas focused on tracking their movements and alibis.
PASSIONS IN DEATH combines a puzzling mystery, a visit with the police team supporting Eve Dallas and Roark, and an update on Peabody and McNab's new living arrangements with Mavis and Leonardo. Peabody begins moving stuff in. And, of course, Bella enjoys all the attention she gets when Eve and Roark visit along with Peabody and McNab.
Ms. Robb's In Death series continues to grow in complexity and originality. PASSIONS IN DEATH should not be missed.
