Just when you thought that you have fully enjoyed reading Nora Robert’s alter ego’s best selling series, something new and different shows up. Susan Ericksen is perfectly cast in Brilliance Audio’s unabridged recording of J. D. Robb’s REUNION IN DEATH. It is the perfect antidote for that long car ride and you will love every minute of it. You will whoop, you will laugh and have the time of your life. What else could you want? Julianna Dunn has a score to settle with Lieutenant Eve Dallas. About a decade ago, Julianna was convicted in the murder of her rich husband and Eve was instrumental in her capture and conviction. Now, she is out of prison after serving her time, and she has her eyes on Roarke. Don’t these villains ever learn? You are in for the catfight of your life much to the delight of the story’s male characters. Susan Ericksen gives you a blow great blow-by-blow that will have you cheering for more. The narrator gets the ‘aw-geez’ attitude of the lieutenant who hates being fussed over and who is all business when it comes to crime fighting. When it comes to portraying the character’s emotional side, Ericksen continues the story without a hitch. A trip to Dallas will take a toll to Eve’s psyche and you feel right there when she revisits her past. Now, when it comes to portraying the secondary characters, Mavis and Peabody are killer. What? Who are they? Time to pick one of the books of the ‘In Death’ series; mere words are not enough to describe how good they are. Listening to it is just a sweet bonus.
