Eve Cooper, a professional photographer and daughter of the President of the United States accompanies her father to the Air Force Academy in Colorado where he is to make the commencement day address. She agrees to take a glider ride even though she is not very enthusiastic about the experience. To her surprise she enjoys the ride but does not care to repeat it.

A short time later the same glider is involved in a fatal crash into a mountain. Questions immediately arise as to whether the glider was sabotaged and meant to kill Eve. There are other near fatal accidents against Eve which lead the Secret Service to believe those involved in the glider crash mystery will do anything to stop her investigation. With the help of her Aunt Patsy who has been filling in as the First Lady for the widowed President, and her new beau, General "Buck" Buckley, Eve attempts to unravel the web of drugs, deceit and betrayal at the Academy.

This is a pleasant who-dun-it featuring the President's daughter who puts her independence and her career as a professional photographer on hold to assume the obligations of the President's daughter, and to be a big sister and mother to her teen age brother. The reader is given an insight into the First Family and their life in the White House. There is also an inside view of the Secret Service: how they handle the protection of the First Family; how they cope with the various emergencies.

This is a well written story, full of action and suspense; with humorous incidents and some pleasant romance.
