If you are tired of watching reruns of ALIAS or LA FEMME NIKITA, try reading one of Mark Burnell’s novels. You get your money’s worth with butt-kicking heroines, international intrigue, sex, violence and double crosses.

Meet Stephanie Schneider, an operative for the ultra-secret group known as Magenta House. As Petra Reuter, she has infiltrated terrorist plots and killed dangerous individuals while loving every adrenaline-induced minute. However, Stephanie has other ideas she wants out. Her handler, who is only known as Alexander, is not ready to give her up. They are both stuck in a Mexican standoff with each other each having something that could ruin the life of the other. Alexander agrees to give her one last mission. If she is successful, she can leave Magenta House for good with no strings attached and no assassination contracts on her head. If she fails, she will continue to be beholden to the organization.

Several ‘allegedly dead’ war criminals have surfaced all around Europe. Before international governments can stop to arrest them, they disappear. They are linked by something called ‘Gemini’ and there is a list of the participants. Alexander wants that list. Petra will work the operation with the earnest zeal that she always has at the expense of Stephanie. Her personal and her secret life are going to collide in a dramatic way and she will have to make a hard decision. Does she continue to live as Petra or has she found freedom as Stephanie. This mission will provide the answers.

GEMINI is action-packed and an entertaining read. It might read like some of those spy shows on television today, but one’s imagination while reading is always better. See what everyone should be talking about. Join the ride.
