The author sets up the beginning of the audio at Attica Prison. The storyteller is teaching writing for prisoners. An assignment the teacher requires is a life story from each of the students. This is the story he tells.

Charles arrives late for his normal train so he must take a later one. On this train, Charles met a woman he will never forget. Her name was Lucinda. Even though Charles didn't think he was good at flirting, he had no problem with Lucinda. At home, his family (Anna, his diabetic daughter, and his wife, Deanna) relies on him. Jeopardy lurks when Charles has to establish his choices. The main character has multitude problems of blackmail, potential loss of family and victimization. The author describes his life as a "train wreck." The title of the book is aptly applied. What a roller coaster ride!

Sometimes a person just has to combat evil. The characters, especially the evil ones, are filled with emotion. It is necessary to identify the violators. Reader, Gregory Harrison, enhances this believability. Marvelous train sound effects in the background give an authenticity that only an audio version can offer. At the end of this 4-cassette story, the author speaks. He tells why he has written this book in the fashion he has chosen. He selects an ordinary man as the main character. Siegel was asked what experience readers would comprehend when they listen rather than read his book. He said the main thing is the visual experience you will experience.

Be aware that there is explicit language and sexual content.

Siegel is working on his next thriller.
