I don't know where to start. DEADLY DIAMONDS is so good that I don't think that I have the words to do it justice. Ms. Parker has written a story that will absolutely astonish you. She drags the reader right into the middle of it, and you feel as if you are actually living it. I laughed, I cried, I felt the pain, and the fears of her characters. There is no other way of describing it other than to say that DEADLY DIAMONDS is truly the work of genius.

Diana Diamond has lost everything. Everything that was important to her. Her mother, her father, the wonderful people who took her in and raised her, her unborn child, and now the only thing she had left, her husband, David. It seemed to Diana that everyone that she ever loved has abandoned her. She feels all alone, and is scared to death.

David Diamond was the heir to Diamonds, Ltd, a company that dealt in investment gems, estate sales, and appraisals. It had been in his family for two generations. Then one night he was murdered, leaving Diana alone to run the company. She was completely devastated, and lost. Two of the long time company employees, Abe Liebowitz and Alma, who had been with the company since David's father had been in charge, were there to help. And she had Maria at home, another long time employee of the family, to help her out there. But even with these life long friends, she still felt abandoned, and alone.

There came a time when Diana had to start living again. Although she felt she could never do it, she decided to go back to work with a little prodding from Abe. She pretty much let Abe and Alma run the company, as she kept busy doing appraisals of semiprecious stones and antique pieces, which had become her expertise, leaving the diamonds for Abe to handle. Soon though some strange things started happening. Two very scary individuals showed up and wanted a diamond necklace that they insisted they had left with David. Diana explained that she knew nothing about this necklace, but would find out where it was, and what was going on. Both left with threats if they didn't get their necklace back.

Meanwhile it seems that one of the police detectives investigating David's murder, has his suspicions that Diana, herself, may be the one responsible for David's death.

Diana starts investigating the loss of the Diamond necklace and soon feels that perhaps it might have something to do with David's death. But can she go to the police with her ideas? The very people who feel that she is involved in the murder, herself?

What happens from here is not only spellbinding, but also terrifying. The very people involved in this whole thing will scare the devil out of you, much less what they do. There is no way that you can figure out the ending of this story, although there certainly are enough hints given.

Ms. Parker has written a story that completely involves the reader, and brings out emotions that you never thought you could feel. DEADLY DIAMONDS is a trip through history, as well as the present, that makes you really stop and think. The story surrounding these events is heart breaking, as well as heart stopping. Diana, although a beautiful, wealthy, and vibrant, young widow, is such a sad individual wanting nothing more than to save what she has left, the wonderful memories of her late husband, and the good name of the company and the people who raised her. In doing so she fights tooth and nail to protect herself, and the company, almost getting killed more than once.

DEADLY DIAMONDS will keep you glued to the pages. I forgot everything else while reading this captivating story. Ms. Parker has a way with the written word that draws the reader into the story. The characters are not only real, and very colorful, but they have emotions that draw you to them. Diana, especially, is a person that a lot of us can relate to, and actually not only feel her sorrow and feelings of inadequacy, but also her deep feelings of loneliness.

I cannot recommend that you read DEADLY DIAMONDS enough. Ms. Parker has composed a masterpiece that will have you biting your nails. You will come up with all kinds of ideas as to who is behind these horrible crimes, but wont even come close to who, or why the person did what they did. This is one of the very best mystery novels I have read in a very long time. You have got to read DEADLY DIAMONDS, and I suggest you hurry to get a copy. This book is not going to stay on the shelves long. In fact I would be willing to bet that it flies off the shelves faster than the printer can print them.

DEADLY DIAMONDS is a mystery masterpiece, and Ms. Parker is the master of the art.
