Is there anywhere as beautiful as Bermuda? With its wonderful beaches, quaint restaurants and marvelous hotels, what other place can be so close to being paradise? It¼s the perfect island to find the person of your dreams, fall in love, and come back the next year to get married.

Lloyd Drake thought that very same thing. The previous year he met Connor Bailey at the Tower Ridge House in Bermuda and it was love at first sight. Conner Bailey was a beautiful, charming, charismatic person, and every man who met Connor feel in love with her. After a year of getting to know each other Lloyd thought the best place for their marriage would be exactly where they had met. Little did Lloyd know that murder would also be a part of the wedding plans.

Lloyd invited his daughter Diana, his son Neal, and his ex mother-in-law Henrietta „Henrie O¾ O¼Dwyer Collins. Henrie felt a little strange attending her ex son-in-law¼s wedding but her daughter, Emily, knew that her children were unhappy with Lloyd¼s upcoming marriage and wanted Henrie to be there for them as emotional support.

Some of the other invited guests weren¼t thrilled with the idea of the upcoming nuptials either: Connor¼s two daughters, Marlow and little Jasmine (who loved Lloyd), Connor¼s lawyer, Steve Jennings who was secretly in love with Connor, and Marlow¼s fiancÈ Aaron Reed.

Roddy Worrell and his wife, Thelma owned the Tower Ridge House. Neither were invited but that didn¼t stop Roddy from letting the others know how much he didn¼t want this marriage to take place. You see, Roddy died the previous year and his ghostly appearance was seen a few days before the wedding by all the guests.

The same year Lloyd and Conner met, Roddy Worrell was ready to leave his wife for Connor. But when Connor told Roddy that she didn¼t love him, he got angry and ran off to the hotel¼s tower. Drunk, he climbed to the top, sat on the window ledge, and looked out over the ocean and island. Roddy¼s body was found the next day at the bottom of the tower. Some say he killed himself because Conner didn¼t love him and others thought he was pushed out of the tower window.

Now, a year later, Lloyd and Connor are back at the Tower Ridge House for their wedding when Roddy¼s ghost appears. One of the young waiter¼s at the hotel, George, believed that Roddy was murdered and he told this to everyone who would listen. When George is then murdered, Henrie O has to figure out what is going on.

Who would want to ruin Lloyd and Conner¼s wedding plans, except for practically everyone who was invited? Why would Roddy¼s ghost suddenly appear, if it really is a ghost? Was Roddy¼s death really an accident or was he murdered and if so by whom? Was George killed because he knew too much?

Carolyn Hart¼s wonderful, endearing character, Henrie O is back for another adventure in RESORT TO MURDER. Once again, it is Henrie who takes charge of the situation and helps to solve all the mysteries that the Bailey/Drake wedding party has to face.

This is a wonderful book located in Bermuda where Ms. Hart gives some splendid descriptions of the island. It¼s a good mystery with some surprises in it. It wasn¼t too hard to figure out who the murderer was but the book is fun to read.

Henrie O is one of the better armature sleuth¼s around. She¼s a journalist with a nose for news and the truth and her instincts helps her solve this mystery. Henrie¼s character proves that being a little older than most doesn¼t stop us from doing anything.
