In a Sensitive Kind of Murder, Kate Jasper is stuck in the middle of yet another murder investigation. Wayne Caruso has been a member of the Heartlink Men's group for a while and it is driving Kate crazy. Wayne won't tell Kate anything that goes on in the meetings or even why he needs a support group. Kate wonders what it will take to get Wayne to tell her all of the secrets. Unfortunately, it takes one of the members of the group being run down by a car. When Steve Summers is murdered by Wayne's car, Wayne knows he needs Kate's help in finding the murderer and also have her figure out why they used his car as the murder weapon. After twelve books, it has come to that time. A Sensitive Kind of Murder will be the last book in the off the wall Kate Jasper series. After a while, it becomes hard to explain why your amateur sleuths keeps tripping over dead bodies. While I will miss Kate and her homely husband, Wayne, I look forward to seeing what Girdner will pull out of her sleeve next. I love this series and am sad to see it end. The humor is always strong and in your face. There is also always appealing characters that you want to learn more about. What made me enjoy this book the most was the situation that Girdner came up with. I love the idea of a men's group and the secrets behind it. What woman wouldn't love to know all those great secrets that Kate gets to know? I think that this was the best book in the series and even if you had not read the previous books, this stands up well on it's own. I recommend this book for anyone who is looking to laugh.
