Freeze Frame is truly a movie lover's mystery. And if you have or enjoy quirky families this is the book for you.

Gilda Liberty comes from a long line of Hollywood players, so when she inherits the local family movie theatre she also inherits the eccentric family busy bodies that truly make the read fun and playful.

Learning the ropes of how to run and revive the glory days of the Paradise Theatre soon become the least of Gilda's problems when her assertive niece, Faye, shows up to work on her student film making project.

What starts out as documentary on local cheerleaders soon becomes the target of a mystery that ends in murder, stolen property and even a fire set to stop Faye from exposing what is on her tapes. The dilemma is Faye and Gilda don't know what it is that is worth killing for.

Together, with the help of a cast of funny characters, Gilda soon finds herself not the hapless manager of a theater but a detective undercover. Gilda's extended family members decide she can't do it without their help. As the plot thickens the clever writing and use of the aunts and uncles as well as the tough local female detective, Styles is quite colorful.

You will grin and laugh as you page through this charming tale. A must for a light read. It will make your own family seem not so bad...or maybe you will relate to the joys of a not-so-typical dysfunctional band of relatives. Either way, you will be pleasantly surprised by this show-stopping mystery.
